HACIA Scholarship Foundation opens enrollment for free contractor training

The Hispanic American Construction Industry Association (HACIA) Scholarship Foundation in conjunction with the Institute for Workforce Education at St. Augustine College announced at a Press Conference on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 the beginning of a 6-month free Contractor Training Program.

The Westside Writing Project (WWP) recently partnered with Brian Piccolo Elementary School in West Humboldt Park in hosting its first Script Writing Competition. The competition challenged students in grades 6th thru 8th to write and develop scripts related to an issue at school.
