Last Thursday was a bit of a “field day” for the WWP students. Instead of the routine editing and posting projects, researching and discussion, the group ventured out. The task was to choose a topic, collect a bit of research, and create a brief video using a video-editing technique we lack experience in. The team decided to do a brief podcast on the effects and benefits of using social media. After shooting, they spent the rest of the  afternoon practicing how to edit the footage using the split-screen effect, an effect seen so often on the daily news. The field day resulted in a more hands-on activity and polishing a new skill.
