The West Humboldt Park Healthy Community Resource Guide is now available.  The purpose of the West Humboldt Park Healthy Community Resource Guide is to provide a listing of healthy living resources for West Humboldt Park community residents to access and live a healthier lifestyle. Resources include:

• employment
• education
• recreation
• social services
• after school programs
• legal assistance
• health and wellness

Community partners compiled the resource guide information as part of the Healthy Community Initiative committee.

The Healthy Community Initiative is a collaboration of community-based organization, institutions and residents working towards creating a Healthy West Humboldt Park community. This coalition connects with existing healthy community efforts in the Humboldt Park, initiates healthy community strategies, and builds relationships with groups/organizations doing unrelated work to advance healthy community concepts in our mission and work.

The core values of the Healthy Community Initiative include: community health, safe environment, affordable housing, employment, education and leadership development to impact policy. This resource guide represents one the coalition’s Education strategies to provide health education and resources as the foundation of community health in the West Humboldt Park Community.

The coalition welcomes input and participation from residents, groups and businesses.
