Humboldt Park Community to Celebrate Three Kings Day

Preparations have begun for the Annual Three Kings Winter Festival & Parade that takes place on Paseo Boricua in Humboldt Park on January 6th. Every year, hundreds of children participate in the event where they receive a toy.
“Dia de Los Reyes is the most important day of the Puerto Rican calendar, therefore, our celebration of this event is a way for us to maintain our historical memory,” said José López, Executive Director of the Puerto Rican Cultural Center.
On Dec. 17th, be part of a parranda, fundraiser and toy drive for Division Street Business Development Association (DSBDA) and the Three Kings parade from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Enjoy food, drinks, raffle and music from Nuestro Tambor, a salsa band, D.J. and special appearance by El Mostro from La Kalle 106.7 FM. Admission is $20 with a toy donation.
COCO Restaurant will also be hosting a toy drive Dec. 22. Drop off new unwrapped toys for kids from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 2723 W. Division St.
