The Emotional Lives of Black Women – Community Discussion

May 20 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Black women are beautiful, intelligent and capable — but mostly, they embrace “strong.”  Join esteemed Northwestern Medicine Clinical Psychologist, Inger Burnett-Zeigler, PhD, in an afternoon community discussion of Dr. Burnett-Zeigler’s book, Nobody Knows the Trouble I’ve Seen:  The Emotional Lives of Black Women.  The book praises the strength of Black women, while exploring how trauma and adversity have led to deep emotional pain and shaped how they walk through the world.

Learn more about the emotional challenges that Black women face and practical strategies to prioritize self-care.
