Taste of Clemente is the annual fundraiser for Youth Empowering Strategies (YES!). An organization with a mission to build an empowering foundation for our community’s youth through their participation in diverse experiences and opportunities. Our fundraiser is named after Roberto Clemente- the famous Pittsburgh ball player. We honor him because of the great humanitarian he was. He lost his life while en route to provide medical and relief supplies to people in need. This image is what we try to identify in our annual awardees- people who give selflessly of themselves and who champion social justice causes and/or positively affect lives of our youth.

This year’s awardees are Sol Flores, Executive Director of La Casa Norte and Jose Zayas, Youth Development Specialist, Becoming a Man Counselor and Supervisor at Youth Guidance.
