Secure Employment in the Cabinetmaking and Millwork Industry

An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Thursday, repeating until December 31, 2020
The Wood Products Manufacturing Program is short-term, no-nonsense, technical, hands-on training at no cost for eligible low-income applicants. In only 15 weeks, you will learn the skills needed for rewarding entry-level positions in cabinetmaking, furniture making, exhibit building, and the wood products industry from experienced and supportive instructors. Entry salaries range from $15 – $17 per hour, growing to $18 – $40 per hour with years of on-the-job experience. There’s no limit to your learning in this field. Train for a career as a skilled cabinetmaker apprentice, bench carpenter, machine operator, CNC operator, assembler, furniture fabricator, or solid surface counter fabricator. Study CNC operation, print reading, precision measuring, and cabinetmaking techniques.
COVID safety protocols are in place. Program includes job placement services, transportation assistance, and a supportive learning environment. Classes conducted onsite and online, Mon-Fri, 8:00 – 2:30 starting soon.
