It’s a winter indoor street festival, celebrating health, culture and community! On March 6, 2020 Erie Family Health Centers will host its 11th annual event, Eriedescence: ¡Que Rico!. Celebrated Humboldt Park-based ensemble Bomba con Buya will set a spirited mood, while guests sample Latin American fare from renowned Chef Richard Sandoval and try their luck at a variety of game booths. Eriedescence raises funds to support Erie’s health education programs and showcases its success in providing top-quality healthcare to more than 80,000 Chicagoans in need of accessible, affordable care.

Eriedescence will be hosted at Latinicity, 108 N. State Street, on the 3rd Floor of Gallery 37, on Friday, March 6, 2020 from 6pm to 10pm. Tickets are $85 (Early Bird rate until 2/25) / $95 (regular rate), and can be purchased online or by phone (312.432.7440).

All proceeds benefit Erie’s diverse health and wellness programs that go beyond traditional medicine to help patients take control of their own health, manage chronic diseases and develop healthier lifestyles. Erie patients have access to a variety of programs, most bilingual English/Spanish, that promote wellness beyond basic primary care, such as: healthy cooking classes for diabetic patients; a family Running Club; Reach Out and Read, promoting early language development and literacy; and the multi-faceted support program for people living with HIV/AIDS, Lending Hands for Life. All of Erie services are provided regardless of a patient’s insurance status, immigration status, or ability to pay.
