Join organizations across the city to learn what LSCs do, why it’s important to run, how to run, AND learn about the current issues facing our schools.

Details are still developing but here are few things to expect:
Childcare will be available. Translation will be available. Some organizations will be offering buses to and from the Summit. This event is free & open to the public.

Doors open at 9:30am.
Breakfast served from 9:30-10am.

Program starts at 10am with a welcome & an opening plenary.

Beginning at 10:40am, there will be two hour long workshop sessions. You will be able to attend 2 different workshops and will be able to chose from the following topics:
Special Education: Parents, Know Your Rights
Sanctuary Schools
Sustainable Community Schools
School Closings
Progressive Revenue Options for Our Schools & Communities
Elected Representative School Board for Chicago
LSCs 4 All Bill
Youth Space
LSC Campaign: How to Run and Win

At 1:00pm, we will come together to write & vote on a common platform.

The program ends at 1:30pm and lunch follows until 2:30.
