Chicago website Gaper’s Block published an article about controversial new research about the effectiveness of the Blue Light Police Cameras inHumboldt Park and West Garfield Park. A drop in crime in Humboldt Park used as an example of how well the cameras can work, but critics say the research if flawed and the jury is still out on whether the cameras help deter crime.
