North Avenue Pulaski Road post:

This has been making it's rounds in Humboldt Park online, the comments totally fit the whole gentrification narrative that people and businesses have moved into the neighborhood to profit off cheap rents and a gritty image. People desire urbanism

Tipsy Cake located on 1043 N. California Ave

original location in Humboldt Park

without being willing to engage in the history and the struggles of the community. Joking around about bullets in the cake and naming their pastry crack cake is just insensitive and inappropriate. Unless newer residents and businesses take a humble attitude to learn and listen from those that have lived here, worked, and struggled here, we will have have conflict and division. This is why Roesers bakery has been around for 100 years and why people from all over Chicagoland still come here, Roesers supports our community.
