Researcher Kiarri Kershaw, PhD is conducting a survey on how women use their environment, available resources, and each other to choose the foods they eat.  Access to healthy food is a public health issue, but previous research on whether or not improving access to healthy foods improves eating behaviors is mixed.  Our study will look at multiple factors that may influence eating behaviors to better understand how people make eating decisions.

The survey will last approximately 2 hours, and consist of a biomedical component that includes measuring your blood pressure, height, weight, body composition, blood pressure, and pulse, and a finger prick to test a small sample of your blood.  Your measurements will only be used for research, and your identity will be protected.

You pre-qualify for this survey if you meet the following requirements:

• you are a non-pregnant woman, aged 18-44
• you live in Humboldt Park
