Kelly Hall YMCA is currently looking for males to mentor male youth between the ages of 5 and 18. We are a proven positive Mentoring Program and have male youth who are in dire need of a mentor.

We require 1 hour a week, background check, a commitment, participation on various fun group outings and a few other things that can be answered at a later time.

Recruiting male mentors is one of the biggest challenges mentoring programs report. The majority of mentors have always been female while the majority of youth in need of a mentor have been male. Programs have learned that traditional recruitment techniques do not seem to motivate the male audience to become mentors.

I am reaching out to the Humboldt Park Community to answer this call for action. It is a rewarding feeling to know that you are making a huge difference in a child’s life.
