This month's book discussion will feature 1984 by George Orwell. In the superstate of Oceania, life is heavily regulated by "The Party" and its leader Big Brother. Skirting a ban on personal freedom, middle-class Party member Winston Smith falls in love with a fellow employee Julia and the two embark on a secret affair. Stop into Creative Space this month to learn how to make a functional, re-usable tote bag using just a t-shirt. This craft requires no sewing. Some t-shirts will be available, but please bring a t-shirt if you have one. Want to work on something else?
