Open House: Hope Manor Apartments
Hope Manor will be hosting two information sessions and open houses in 2012. The first is January 25th 2012 from noon to 4pm. The second is February 1st 2012 from 5pm to 7pm.
Hope Manor Apartments located at 3053 W. Franklin Blvd. is a 4-story apartment building that will provide affordable living for veterans and their families. The building includes 30 studio apartments; 10 two-bedroom suites and 10 three-bedroom suites. Among the facility’s amenity are green space for residents, laundry facilities on every floor, on-site job training and employment services, a health clinic, homelessness services, counseling and case management.
Applications for residency are now being taken by developers, Volunteers of America Illinois. Eligible applicants must be Veterans with any discharge status (other than dishonorable), low-income and willing to participate in Volunteer of America's True North Program. To apply, applicants must possess the following documentation:
- DD214(1010 or Military ID)
- State picture ID
- CHA housing number
- Proof of income (paystubs, benefits letter, employment offer, SS or SSI award letter)
- Proof of savings/assets (bank statements)
- Social Security card
