McFun at the Bucktown McDonald’s for Josephinum Academy of the Sacred Heart

McFun at the Bucktown McDonald’s for Josephinum Academy of the Sacred Heart

On Thursday, April 19th, the McDonald’s restaurant at 1951 N. Western Avenue was taken over by Josephinum teachers and administrative staff excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families. Teachers handed out orders, cleaned tables, made ice cream treats, served drinks, and even dressed up in an Apple Pie costume. Principal Guerin was in attendance and enjoyed working behind the counter with her staff.

The Josephinum staff worked hard selling delicious apple pies all night and had a blast. Teacher Stephanie Castrounis wore the Apple Pie Costume the entire night. What a great community the Josephinum Academy of the Sacred Heart family is.

Added to this night of FUNdraising was a special performance in the restaurant by the JD4L which is the Jospehinum Dance 4 Life Group is. The funds earned from the Pie and the family’s meal sales will go directly to scholarships for the students.

A special thank you goes to teacher Lindsay Bartlett, who organized the event as well as everyone who worked and attended.
