Array of Things Public Meeting at Association House
October 18 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
The Array of Things project is a collection of multi-purpose sensors that will collect data about the livability factors in our city like air quality, noise pollution, and flooding. These data will fuel new research about Chicago neighborhoods. The Array of Things Public Meeting will be an opportunity for residents to (1) learn more about the Array of Things project (2) identify community priorities (ex: pollution, congestion) can this project can help measure and address.
Here is a link to the the flyer for this meeting. Please share!
No knowledge of technology or sensors is required to be a welcome, meaningful addition to the event. Note that despite our collection of RSVPs on this page, this is an open meeting and walk-ins are very welcome. We appreciate all RSVPs on this page to help us get an accurate estimate for food!
This conversation is hosted by the Association House of Chicago, a vital community anchor institution in Humboldt Park and a local leader providing essential educational and workforce development services everyday.
Array of Things Civic Engagement work began in 2016 — you can read about the work accomplished last year in this report. To learn more about the Array of Things project itself, visit arrayofthings.org. The Array of Things Project is also soliciting community suggestions and ideas about sensor placement via their website. If you would like to submit your idea online, make sure to fill out this form on the Array of Things website.
