The Next Steps Re-Entry Program offers a free multi-dimensional re-entry program to give formerly incarcerated people the resources they need to get back on their feet. Our program offers one-on-one mentoring, job training, and intensive case management, which includes attention to anger management, substance abuse, job readiness, and financial literacy. |
| Intake Process | All walk-ins are welcome– they come to the reception area and fill out an intake form, and after we’ve checked their name against the system we set up an appointment with that person to fully inform him/her about the program. |
| Referral Process | We get referrals from parole agents, pastors, and DHS. Upon arrival, there is a general questionnaire that participants fill out. When that’s completed we check the system to make sure they’re still on parole. Once verified, we set up a date for them to come in and fill out the paperwork. |
| Other | To be eligible for our next steps program – 1) You need to be on parole or probation. 2) You have to be within the first year of release. 2) You can’t have a sexual offense. |
